Scenes of riding bikes with girls and spending clandestine moments in the dark of night provide a glimpse into the underworld that Hubba Shyamal navigated with ease.

Hubba Shyamal, often referred to as the 'Dawood Ibrahim of Hooghly', was a larger-than-life figure who wielded immense power in the criminal underworld. Despite multiple arrests by law enforcement, he managed to secure bail each time, further enhancing his notoriety.

The movie "Hubba," directed by Bratya Basu, encapsulates the dramatic life and turbulent journey of Hubba Shyamal. The character's presence loomed large over Hooghly, and his story unfolds against a backdrop of crime, power struggles, and the complexities of the underworld. Tragically, Hubba Shyamal's life met a grim end in 2011 when his body was discovered in the Bidyabati canal.

Bratya Basu has meticulously adapted the narrative from the article "Shyamlada, Valo Achen?" penned by Calcutta police officer Supratim Sarkar in the 'Goyendapith Lalbazar' series. This adaptation aims to bring to life the riveting story of Hubba Shyamal, shedding light on the intricacies of his criminal empire and the enigma that surrounded him.

While the release date of "Hubba" is yet to be disclosed, the anticipation among fans of both Mosharraf Karim and crime thriller enthusiasts is palpable.
