'Jawan' mania: SRK fans wide awake till 6 am for screening
While Bangladeshi fans eagerly await the release of "Jawan" at night, Indian fans were wide awake throughout the night, securing tickets for the 6 am show witness Shah Rukh Khan in his action-packed avatar.
Prior to the premiere, Shah Rukh Khan's dedicated fans lined up at ticket counters as early as 2am to ensure their spot at the opening show.
"Jawan" had its premiere to a fully packed theatre at 6 am on Thursday. Fans celebrated by lighting fireworks, dancing in the theatres, and even performing puja ceremonies in front of SRK posters.
A dedicated SRK fan page shared scenes from the early morning screening, capturing the exhilaration of fans chanting, "Shah Rukh Khan is India's pride."
Additionally, a video circulating on Twitter, showed fans marching toward the theatre, proudly displaying SRK banners. The post's caption read, "It is 5.35 am in the morning and we have begun celebration for our historic 6 am and it's mass hysteria as we welcome the King to the big screen."
Upon seeing this, an ecstatic SRK reshared video and tweeted, "Love u boys and girls, I hope u enjoy the entertainment. I stayed awake to see you go to the theatre. Much love and gratitude."
The advance ticket sales stats mirror the fervor surrounding the release of "Jawan". The film has sold approximately 4 lakh tickets in national cinema chains, with a total of 9,66,713 tickets purchased by eager moviegoers, accumulating a total earning of Rs 26.45 crore.
"Jawan" features a star-studded cast, including the charismatic Shah Rukh Khan and acclaimed South Indian superstar Nayanthara.
