AR Rahman shares highlights of Chennai concert amid controversy

Renowned music maestro AR Rahman posted a highlight reel of his recent Chennai concert on September 10. This move comes in the wake of criticism and controversy surrounding the event, with attendees alleging mismanagement and harassment.

In the video shared on his social media, Rahman can be seen performing on stage alongside other musicians, while an enthusiastic audience cheers them on. The concert features some of Rahman's iconic tracks, including those from his debut film, Mani Ratnam's 1992 romantic thriller "Roja," as well as moments of him playing the piano and the tanpura.

However, what has drawn significant attention is Rahman's decision to disable comments on his social media posts, including Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). This decision is a response to the widespread trolling and criticism he and the concert organisers faced due to allegations of severe mismanagement and sexual harassment during the event. Others criticized Rahman for not acknowledging the issues and accused him of insensitivity.
