Shommo's debut film 'Dushshahoshi Khoka' releases today
Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar's "Dushshahoshi Khoka"- a government-granted film that captures the early life of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was released in 10 theatres across the country today. Shommo Joyti will be seen essaying the character of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the film.
The government-granted film has been much appreciated by the censor board for its beautiful rendition of Bangabandhu's teenage life. The film "Dusshahoshi Khoka" unravels the journey of a young Bangabandhu from childhood to adolescence, shedding light on how this spirited teenager evolved into a politically aware, socially conscious, and compassionate individual. The movie beautifully portrays his philanthropic endeavours and simultaneous role as a protestor for justice and humanitarian causes.
"The film centres around Bangabandhu's teenage life between the ages of 15 and 18. Growing up, I listened to stories of Bangabandhu and his fight to liberate our country", remarked Shommo about his character.
The film also stars Lutfar Rahman George, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Mahmuda Maha, Golam Farida Chanda, and other talented actors.
