Akshay Kumar announces 'Sky Force' based on true events
While Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, "Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue" is slated to hit the theatres this October 6, the actor announces the release date for yet another project based on a true story. This time, the "Mission Mangal" star is gearing up to reach the sky himself in his new film titled, "Sky Force".
Taking to his social media accounts, Akshay Kumar recently announced the film with an exciting teaser. He shared, "Today on the day of Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti, the whole country is saying - Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Science, Jai Research. No better day than today to announce the incredible story of 'SkyForce'—Our untold story of India's first and deadliest airstrike."
The teaser of "Sky Force" takes the audience back to the days of India-Pakistan war period of 1965. It contemplates the heavy tension of the period and India's decision to launch a deadly airstrike against the Pakistani forces.
Jointly directed by Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, "Sky Force" casts Akshay Kumar alongside Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, and Veer Pahariya, amongst others.
"Sky Force" is expected to greet the audience in theatres on October 2, 2024.
