Up-and-coming Bangla band Tulkalam releases debut album
Emerging as a breath of fresh air in the music scene, Tulkalam, the vibrant band from Bangladesh, marked its one-year anniversary with the release of its debut album. "Tulkalam", named after life's unpredictable twists, defies musical norms and brings a blend of diverse backgrounds into a singular symphony. The self-titled album features nine original tracks, each offering a unique and refreshing sound.
The grand album launch event took place yesterday at The Junction in Niketan, Dhaka, where the band graced the stage to perform the songs live. Tulkalam's debut album is now available on leading music platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Deezer, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, among others.
The band comprises a talented ensemble: Danny Amin on vocals ,Faria Ulfath Syed on drums; Azhar Khan, Mustafa Haque, bringing raw talent and experience from Toronto's accomplished Bangla rock bands; and Naushad Ali Husein, rooted in North Indian classical music.
While many artists opt for singles, Tulkalam has chosen to make a bold statement with their debut album, emphasizing their seriousness and showcasing their convergence of styles and influences. The band's aspiration is to offer something for everyone in this diverse repertoire.
Tulkalam is excited to hit the stage after months in the studio, bringing their repertoire to diverse audiences. Upcoming performances include the Mood and Wellness Festival at ULAB on Saturday, October 14, and Mon Utsob at Bangla Academy on Friday, October 20.
