'Kajol Rekha' team to cheer up Bangladesh at World Cup
The ICC Cricket World Cup is in full swing in India, with Bangladesh joining the lineup of nine other teams. Two important matches are looming for Bangladesh, scheduled to take on the Netherlands on October 28 and Pakistan on October 31 at Kolkata's iconic Eden Garden. The country's cricket enthusiasts are gearing up to support their team, and a unique cheering squad will add to the excitement.
The cast and crew of the film "Kajol Rekha", including renowned actor, actress, and director Gias Uddin Selim, will be present in the gallery during these two pivotal matches. Their presence is not just about cricket; it's also about promoting the upcoming film.
Gias Uddin Selim, the film's director, shared his enthusiasm, "Our mission has a dual purpose. We will enjoy the cricket matches, and we are also committed to promoting 'Kajol Rekha.'"
"Several members of our film team, including myself, actor Sariful Razz, and actress Mondera Chakroborty, will be sporting 'Kajol Rekha' branded T-shirts in the gallery. You could say we're hitting two birds with one stone. On October 26, we will depart for India with the team," he added.
Elaborating on the film's promotional strategy, Gias Uddin added, "Since the film's release date is set for February 9, we want to kickstart our promotional efforts early. As Bangladesh participates in the Cricket World Cup, and cricket enthusiasts follow matches through various media, we see a golden opportunity."
Director Selim also revealed, "Filming for 'Kajol Rekha' has wrapped up, and we are now in the process of obtaining censorship approval. Our release date is locked, and fans can catch it in theatres across the country on February 9."
But before the film's release, the "Kajol Rekha" team is setting off on a unique journey to promote the World Cup.
Regarding this, Director Gias Uddin explained, "As the film's release date is already fixed, we aim to kick off our promotional activities in advance. Bangladesh's participation in the Cricket World Cup provides a unique opportunity, as cricket enthusiasts in the country follow the matches through various media."
The journey to promote the World Cup begins as the "Kajol Rekha" team lends its star power to cheer for Bangladesh on the cricket field.
The film also features Azad Abul Kalam, Jhuna Chowdhury, Shahanaz Sumi, Khairul Basar, and Sadiya Ayman, offering an exciting blend of talent. "Kajol Rekha" is inspired by the Geetika of the 16th century.
