Archers concede two gold medals to India
Bangladesh archers lost both of their finals against India in the Asia Cup Stage-1 in Baghdad, Iraq today, and ended the event with a couple of silvers and two bronze medals.
The Recurve men's team comprising of Hakim Ahmed, Sagor Islam and Abdur Rahman lost the final by 2-6 set points and had to settle for a silver.
The Recurve mixed team of Sagor and Diya Siddique had an even worse showing, losing the final 0-6 to their Indian counterparts.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh won a bronze medal in the Recurve women's team event, as the team of Diya, Sima Akter and Famida Sultana defeated hosts Iraq by 6-0 set points.
In the Recurve men's single's event, Hakim Ahmed lost his bronze medal match against Uzbekistan's Sadikov Amirkhan by 2-6 set points.
Yesterday, Bangladesh archers Topu Roy and Meghla Rani won bronze in the compound team event, beating a team from Iraq.
The archers will fly back home on February 27.
