Sisimpur celebrates 9th anniversary
“Sisimpur”, the Bangladeshi version of Children's popular television series “Sesame Street” celebrated its ninth anniversary on February 23 through a programme held at Bengal Multimedia Studio in the capital.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, State Minister for Women and Children's Affairs Meher Afroze Chumki and US Ambassador to Dhaka Marcia Bernicat attended the programme, among others, as per a press release.
The show -- jointly produced by Asiatic Marketing Ltd and Creative Services with financial aid from USAID, airs every Friday, Monday and Wednesday on Rtv.
“Sisimpur” is made under the supervision of Sesame Workshop USA, and aims to raise awareness among children on various issues through producing different episodes focusing on particular Issues. The show is tremendously popular in Bangladesh.
