SBK Tech Ventures invests $7.1 million in 6 Bangladeshi startups

SBK Tech Ventures has unveiled an investment plan of $7.1 million in six local startups, pending due diligence and investment criteria are met. 

The "prospective" startups being considered are: AI-powered platform Markopolo, tech-enabled mobility solutions provider Jatri, climate tech-based startup Solshare, agro-based startup Fashol, med-tech startup Arogga and ed-tech based startup 10 Minute School. 

SBK funds Bangladeshi tech startups only; their minimum ticket size is USD $ 1 million per startup. 

SBK is the first and only woman led licensed VC in Bangladesh to run in-house accelerators: "NetPositive" & "ExcelerateHer", an in-house incubator; "YES, She Can". 

The founder & managing general partner of SBK Tech Ventures, said, "Bangladeshi startup founders are undervalued and unnoticed. The total investment in this round reflects our confidence in the success of these startups which solve problems of the masses, leverage technology to scale and create a transformative impact."
