Jamal wins fifth PGTI title
Jamal Hossain Mollah won the Indianoil Servo Masters Golf Tournament – his fifth title in the Professional Golf Tour of India – at the Digboi Golf Links in Assam today.
The 39-year-old golfer from Kurmtola stroked to a one-shot victory with an aggregate score of 12-under-par (276).
Four players finished tied for second, a stroke behind Jamal.
The Bangladeshi golfer racked up 68, 65, 72 and 71 over the four rounds and had led the chasing pack since the second round in the 85-lac-rupee event.
The win helped Jamal secure a paycheque of 12,75,000 rupees and lifted him to 17th position in the order of merit.
