Being an actor was my dream, and I’m living it: Tania Brishty
Small-screen actress Tania Brishty has been a prominent figure in numerous television projects over the years. Despite her extensive portfolio, she prefers one-hour dramas over serials, dedicating her focus exclusively to shorter productions.
Throughout her career, the actress has collaborated with celebrated actor Mosharraf Karim in over 50 projects. Their on-screen chemistry has garnered widespread acclaim from viewers. When asked about the number of dramas they've worked on together, Tania confidently stated, "It must be at least 50. I can assure you it has exceeded that number."
Reflecting on her experience working alongside Mosharraf Karim, she shared, "Mosharraf bhai is incredibly supportive in front of the camera—not just with me, but with all his co-artistes. Our pairing has been warmly received by audiences, which brings me great happiness. It feels wonderful. He is an exceptionally talented actor, a true artiste, and acting with him is always a joyous experience."
She elaborated further, "Acting is a continuous learning process, and there's always something new to learn. When Mosharraf bhai is your co-artiste, you can gain so much from him. He has countless admirable qualities."
When asked if Mosharraf Karim had any shortcomings as a co-artiste, Tania responded, "He has no negative traits. He is 100% a good person and an exceptional artiste. The only minor inconvenience is that he's not always reachable by phone—I've even joked with him about this!"
Recalling her first project with the actor, she said, "Honestly, I was extremely nervous. I played the role of his wife—a character who drinks and comes home to quarrel at night. That nervousness is still vivid in my memory."
Expressing her gratitude for the audience's love for their pairing, she said, "I am thankful to the viewers for embracing our collaboration so warmly." She also recalled a moment of encouragement from the actor, saying, "After our first project, he told me, 'You are a good actor, and you can grow even more.' That compliment meant a lot to me."
Recently, Tania had the opportunity to shoot a drama in South Korea, an experience she described as incredible. "Yash Rohan was my co-actor, and we worked hard to deliver authentic performances while representing our country. It was a completely new and exciting experience for me," she said, hinting at the possibility of future international shoots.
Despite her limited involvement in OTT projects, the actress views the platform positively. "I'm very interested in working on OTT platforms and hope to take on more projects there in the future," she remarked.
On her aspirations for films, she shared, "I am waiting for the right opportunity. The project must have a compelling story, an interesting character, and a skilled director. I want to see myself on the big screen, but until that happens, I'll continue acting in dramas."
Tania revealed that her dream of working in showbiz started at a young age. "While still in school, I would watch television and dream of seeing myself on screen. Many people aspire to become doctors or engineers, but my dream was to act and work in showbiz. Today, I am living that dream," she said proudly.
In closing, Tania reflected on her journey and the sense of camaraderie in the industry. "The acting industry feels like a family—a beautiful family. We work together in harmony, and I cherish being a part of it."
