The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting's National Search Committee, in collaboration with the National Film Archive, is set to present special screenings of nine contemporary short films.

The screening will take place on Wednesday, December 11, at 6 pm at the second-floor projection hall of the Bangladesh Film Archive. Following the screenings, there will be an interactive Q&A session where audiences can engage with the filmmakers and key cast members behind the films.

Among the films to be showcased are Mahde Hasan's "A Boring Film," Arik Anam Khan's "Transit," Debashish Das's "Niruddesh Jatra," Tasmiah Afrin Mou's "Kobi Swamir Mrityur Por Amar Jobanbondi" ("My Testimony After the Death of My Poet Husband"), Touqir Shaik's "Ayna," Golam Rabbani's "Surot," Zayed Siddiqui's "Darkak," and Al Hasib Khan Ananda's "Breathing Is a Gift."

In a special highlight, the event will feature the Bangladesh premiere of Shahnewaz Khan Cju's powerful one-shot short film "Not a Fiction," which addresses the issue of extrajudicial killings.

This screening is free and open to all, offering a rare opportunity to experience these thought-provoking films.
