MBBS admission applications begin today, open until Dec 27

Applications for admission to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) programmes in both public and private medical colleges for the academic year 2024-25 have begun today.

From 10:00am today, aspiring students can apply online. The application process will remain open until December 27.

The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) issued a circular in this regard on it's website yesterday.

The written admission test will be based on HSC syllabus. The test will consist of 100 questions, with each question carrying one mark, totaling 100 marks. The subject-wise mark distribution will be as follows: 30 marks for Biology, 25 for Chemistry, 20 for Physics, 15 for English, and 10 marks for General Knowledge (Bangladesh and International Affairs).

The test duration will be one hour. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. If a question has multiple answers marked, it will be considered incorrect. Additionally, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer, according to the circular.
