Khalil Culinary Arts Center opens in Dhaka, empowering youth with global opportunities

Khalil Culinary Arts Center, a visionary institution dedicated to developing skilled professionals in the culinary arts, has officially commenced its journey. The grand inauguration ceremony took place on 4 January, 2025, at Motijheel, with Master Chef Md Khalilur Rahman, the founder and chairman of the center, presiding over the event. Chef Khalil is a recipient of numerous prestigious national and international awards, including the US Presidential Biden Lifetime Achievement Award and the renowned British Curry Award.

In his note, Chef Md Khalilur Rahman expressed his commitment to empowering unemployed youth through comprehensive training in hospitality management. He shared his vision of creating economic opportunities by facilitating global employment for the center's graduates. The institution aims to deliver world-class technical education to its students, ensuring international standards are met. Additionally, students will have the benefit of credit transfer opportunities to esteemed universities worldwide.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman of Daffodil International University; Professor S M Arifuzzaman, Chairman of the Business Faculty at Uttara University; Professor Maruf Islam, Dean of the Business Faculty at Northern University, Md Sakhawat Hossain, CEO of Unique Hotels Group; S M Shahjahan, Director of BTEB; and Md Firoz Alam Molla, National Consultant at the ILO. They all extended their best wishes for the success of the institution and its mission.

Notably, Khalil Culinary Arts Center will award internationally recognised certificates to its graduates, paving the way for careers as chefs in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The institution will also assist in securing EB-3 visas, further enhancing global career opportunities for its students.
