Prabir Mitra and Suchanda stand as towering figures in the realm of cinema. Over the course of their careers, they shared the screen in numerous films, but it was "Jibon Trishna" that marked the beginning of their collaboration. Reflecting on her late co-star, Suchanda grew emotional as she recounted to The Daily Star how their on-screen relationship as brother and sister gradually transcended into life-long bond in future.

"Our first time acting together was in the film "Jibon Trishna" – it feels like a lifetime ago. In that movie, he portrayed my brother, and I played his sister. From that experience, Prabir Mitra became more than just a co-star; he felt like a real brother to me, and I like a sister to him. Since then, we've shared the screen in countless films."

Prabir Mitra and Suchanda acted together in the film "Tin Konya"- and it became a super hit. After that, their on-screen pairing became viral. All the films we worked on together started becoming successful.

"In every film I produced, Prabir Mitra was part of the cast. Beyond my productions, we acted in many other films as well. Our lifelong bond as brother and sister continued throughout his life. He had a deep sense of respect for others, treating both juniors and seniors with kindness and affection. His greatness as an artiste needs no retelling – he was truly exceptional. Prabir Mitra carried no trace of arrogance. He stood as a remarkable example of humility and grace," added the actress.

The actor had been unwell for a long time, and his demise completely shattered her.

"To be honest, I haven't been able to come to terms with the news of his passing. It feels heavy – the weight of it lingers. Two losses back-to-back have deeply affected me. I haven't felt this much sorrow in a long time. One by one, the great artistes of our film industry are leaving us, creating an immense void. None of us know who will be next. Accepting this emptiness is painful. I offer my deepest respect to Prabir Mitra. May he find peace and happiness wherever he has gone. I pray that his soul rests in peace," concluded the actress.
