Today, faculty members and students from Dhaka International University (DIU) are set to attend a special screening of "Priyo Maloti", featuring Mehazabien Chowdhury, at Star Cineplex's SKS Tower in Dhaka. The university has reserved a hall for the 7:45pm show. 

In the final stretch of the year, the film secured the second spot among the highest-grossing titles at Star Cineplex. Over time, audience interest surged, prompting an increase in its screenings. Just last week, showtimes doubled, and as of now, "Priyo Maloti" is being showcased 16 times daily across five Star Cineplex locations, a significant rise from its initial eight-show schedule.

The team behind "Priyo Maloti" has been made aware of this initiative as well. Expressing his excitement, the film's producer, Habibur Rahman Tarek, shared, "This is a truly special moment for us. The university authorities informed us about it, and we warmly welcome their interest in watching the film."

To commemorate the occasion, the entire "Priyo Maloti" team will participate in the special screening alongside the students and faculty of Dhaka International University (DIU). Esteemed guests at the event will include Mehazabien Chowdhury, Shahjahan Samrat, Shankha Dasgupta, Adnan Al Rajeev, and Habibur Rahman Tarek, among others.

Previously, "Priyo Maloti" has been showcased at prestigious events such as the Cairo International Film Festival and the International Film Festival of India. Helmed by director Shankha DasGupta, the film stars Mehazabien Chowdhury in the lead role.
