The 23rd Founding Anniversary of Daffodil International University was observed with a day-long gala event with great enthusiasm and in a colourful manner and festive mood at the university campus in Birulia, Savar, Dhaka on January 25, 2025. To mark the Founding Anniversary, day-long programmes included a colourful rally, a cake-cutting ceremony, discussions, forming a human logo, games and sports, fun events, and dance performances by the university students based on the theme song of the university. On the occasion of the event, the university campus was decorated in vernal decorations. Ignoring the heavy fog of winter, 22,000 students, teachers and officials dressed up in colourful costumes and gathered at the university campus at 9 AM.

Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present as the Chief Guest at the programme. Professor Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University presided over the programme. Conducted by Amit Kumar Mazumder, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Student Affairs, the programme was attended by Prof. Dr SM Mahbubul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer; Prof. Dr Syed Akter Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology; Prof. Dr M Bellal Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences;  Prof. Dr Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship; Dr Liza Sharmin, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; and Dr Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar of the university. All the teachers, students and officials of the university joined the programme. 

Dr Md Sabur expressed his satisfaction with the continuous development of the university and expressed his high hopes that Daffodil International University will be the first skill-focused university in Bangladesh and that not a single student of this university will be unemployed. Even if one or two are unemployed, those who become entrepreneurs will ensure their employment. He said, "We want to make our students skilled in artificial intelligence and other technologies so that they can lead Bangladesh and the whole world."

He also said, "We are constantly working not only for the whole of the university but we also want to awaken our morals. For the welfare of the students, after the last July Revolution, the university has given scholarships worth crores to the students, which every student has received more or less."

Dr Md Sabur further said, "With the combined efforts of all, we will prove that Bangladesh will stand high in the world by presenting a wonderful family and a wonderful university. Inshallah, there will be no unemployment in our country."

Dr M Lutfar said, "Daffodil International University has maintained a prestigious position in all the indicators of the world ranking and in the coming days this university will go much further." He also said that this university has about 30 thousand students, teaching officers and employees. Immortals are countless in number but collectively we are one and we are all `Daffodillians'.
