Netizens see Ibrahim and Aryan as the new Rohit-Aman, ask for ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho 2’
Netflix's announcement of a lineup of several new projects last Monday delivered surprises to Bollywood enthusiasts. Among the biggest highlights is the debut of two much-anticipated star kids—Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, and Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan—who are stepping into the film industry, following in the footsteps of their legendary fathers.
Aryan Khan is making his mark not as an actor but as a writer and director with the web-series "The Ba***ds of Bollywood", while Ibrahim Ali Khan is beginning his acting career opposite Khushi Kapoor in the Karan Johar produced "Nadaaniyan".
Fans got a rare glimpse of Aryan Khan's never-seen-before smile in the title announcement video of his project, where he directed his father, Shah Rukh, in a hilariously entertaining way. Meanwhile, Ibrahim stole hearts as he romanced Khushi Kapoor in the first song of "Nadaaniyan", titled "Ishq Mein".
Following these official introductions, fans couldn't help but draw comparisons between the star kids and their fathers' iconic characters—Aman Mathur and Rohit Patel—from the 2003 classic "Kal Ho Naa Ho". Many social media users are now convinced that Aryan and Ibrahim would be the perfect choices for a remake or sequel of the beloved film.
In an Instagram post featuring side-by-side images of Aryan and Ibrahim's debut projects alongside Shah Rukh and Saif's stills from "Kal Ho Naa Ho", fans eagerly expressed their excitement.
One user commented, "A 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' remake with their kids would be great," while a second suggested, "They should make 'Kal Ho Naa Ho 2'!" Another fan insisted, "If a sequel happens, these two should definitely get a chance," and someone else humorously added, "I wouldn't mind seeing them fight for @realpz because she still looks so young and beautiful."
Some fans even had casting ideas, with one urging Karan Johar, "This is the duo you must launch," while another suggested including Raveena Tandon's daughter, Rasha Thadani, writing, "Add Rasha and make a new movie."
With such an overwhelming response, the possibility of seeing Aryan Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan together on-screen in a future project might just come to pass.
