Two killed in separate road accidents in Kishoreganj

Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Pakundia and Sadar upazilas of Kishoreganj last night and early today.

The deceased were identified as Abul Bashar, 65, and Fazlul Haque, 38.

According to local sources, Abul Bashar was critically injured after being hit by a easy bike while crossing the road in the Sriramdi Potato store area of Pakundia around 10:00pm yesterday. He was rushed to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment around 7:30am on Wednesday.

Pakundia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sakhawat Hossain confirmed the incident.

In a separate accident, Fazlul Haque was killed after a truck hit his motorcycle head-on around 1:00am today while he was returning to Kishoreganj from Hossainpur. The accident occurred in the Khilpara area of Sadar upazila.

Locals rescued him and took him to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun said legal steps are being taken regarding the incident.
