Legendary Bangladeshi singer Sabina Yasmin is ready to make a triumphant return to the stage at the 8th Bangladesh Festival, scheduled for May 17, at the Toronto International Pavilion. This marks her first international performance since recovery from a health setback.

Organised by Weekly Bangla Mail, Canada's most widely circulated Bengali newspaper, the Bangladesh Festival is renowned as the largest indoor event celebrating Bangladeshi culture in the country. The festival promises a vibrant showcase of music, dance, and cultural exhibitions, drawing attendees from across North America.

Sabina Yasmin, a 14-time National Film Award-winning artiste, has been a pivotal figure in Bangladeshi music for decades. Her return to the international stage is highly anticipated by fans and the diaspora community alike. In a heartfelt video message, Yasmin invited her fans to the event, saying, "On May 17, I hope to see you all. We'll talk, share stories, and, of course, there will be music. I'm eagerly waiting to meet you."

This performance follows Yasmin's recovery from a recurrence of cancer, for which she underwent treatment in Singapore earlier this year. Her resilience and dedication to her art continue to inspire many.

Tickets for the festival are available through various platforms, including Eventbrite and AllEvents. However, regular tickets have reportedly sold out weeks in advance, with only VIP and VVIP options remaining.

Sabina Yasmin

Joining Yasmin on stage will be other notable Bangladeshi artistes, including Mosharraf Karim, Robena Reza Jui, and Tanzika Amin, ensuring a night filled with cultural richness and entertainment.
