Bangladeshi photographer captures SRK on his lens

Amir Hamja, a Bangladeshi photographer affiliated with The New York Times, has consistently brought pride to the nation through his remarkable photography that has drawn widespread attention. Most recently, he photographed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for The New York Times as the actor made his debut appearance at the Met Gala.

In keeping with this year's theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style", Shah Rukh graced the red carpet in a sophisticated all-black outfit crafted by renowned designer Sabyasachi. With his signature charisma, the actor captivated onlookers effortlessly.

Shah Rukh's ensemble featured a royal-looking, maharaja-style coat made from premium Tasmanian wool. The garment blended classic craftsmanship with luxurious aesthetics, embodying timeless elegance. Its sharp shoulders and wide lapels lent a modern edge, while striking black buttons emphasized the outfit's bold character.
Amir's photographic journey includes covering prestigious events like the Oscars and the Met Gala for The New York Times. Through his international collaborations, he has photographed numerous prominent figures such as Novak Djokovic, Mira Nair, and Quentin Tarantino. He has also worked closely with comedian Hasan Minhaj and Oscar-winning actor Riz Ahmed.
