“Under Construction” awaits release

Rubaiyat Hossain's new film “Under Construction” may release in May, after having received an uncut clearance from the censor board. 

Rubaiyat made the disclosures, adding that talks are on for the film to go to major film festivals later in the year. 

The film revolves around theatre artiste Roya, who – after playing Nandini from Roktokobori on stage – wants to re-make the play in modern context. But the city and its reality traps her in an 'under-construction' phase. 

There are two songs in the film, the music for which has been done by Arnob and are sung by Sahana Bajpaie. 

The cast of the film includes Rahul Bose, Shahana Goswami, Shahadat Hossain, Towfiqul Islam Emon, Rikita Nandini Shimu and Nawshaba.
