Shakib moves to Tallawahs

Shakib Al Hasan was snapped up by the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft in Barbados on Thursday.

Bangladesh's ace all-rounder, who previously represented the St Lucia Zouks, was bought in the third round of the draft for 50,000 US dollars.

Lendl Simmons and David Miller were respectively secured with the overall first and second picks.

Tallawahs -- winners of the inaugural CPL in 2013 -- will be one of the favourites for the tournament, boasting the likes of Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Lasith Malinga and Andre Russel.
