Noakhali AC land office torched

Miscreants torched the office of assistant commissioner (AC-Land) in Noakhali town by hurling two petrol bombs early today.

Several furniture and some important documents were burnt as the criminals firebombed the office through the window of it located at Maijdi Bazaar around 4:00am, our Noakhali correspondent reports quoting Mahbub Alam, station officer of Noakhali fire service and civil defence.

The criminals vandalised the window pane to throw the petrol bombs inside a room, Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Shamsuzzaman told our correspondent.

Informed by security guards and locals, firefighters rushed to the office and put out the flame immediately, Shamsuzzaman said.

No one was arrested in connection with the arson attack, police said.
