‘Bangladeshi’ college shooter held in India
A man of alleged Bangladeshi origin has been held from Uttar Pradesh over the shooting outside Loreto College in Kolkata on February 15.
The arrestee, Arid-ul-Islam, detained during a raid in Dewa area, admitted he was a Bangladeshi, our New Delhi correspondent reports quoting PTI.
He (Islam) used a fake identity to stay at the guest house, said Superintendent (SI) of Police of Barabanki district Abdul Hameed. “He was arrested from that guest house.”
An automatic weapon was said to have been recovered from his possession. Islam was wanted in connection with the open firing outside Loreto College in Kolkata.
