Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar acquitted in cheque bounce case
Bollywood screen legend Dilip Kumar has been acquitted by a Mumbai court in an 18-year-old cheque bounce case.
The 94-year-old actor, who was honorary chairman of a Kolkata-based business company in 1998, was implicated in the case along with three other directors because of the post that he held, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
The court today acquitted Dilip Kumar and another accused of all charges and held two directors “guilty”.
Dilip Kumar stars in films like Naya Daur, Jugnu, Andaz and Devdas, and was recently bestowed with the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award.
Currently, the star has been suffering from neurological problems, his 73-year-old wife, Saira Banu said in a Twitter post.
