Tk 5 lakh bounty for blogger Rajib murder suspect
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today announced a bounty of Tk 5 lakh to help arrest Redwanul Azad Rana, a prime accused in the blogger Ahmed Rajib Haidar murder case.
The people who will help police arrest Rana will be awarded with the money, Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of DMP, told The Daily Star.
The detectives investigating the writer-blogger Avijit Roy murder case suspect that Rana, a BBA student of North South University (NSU), might have link with the gruesome killing on the Dhaka University campus on February 26.
Some NSU students, including Rana, had allegedly planned to kill Rajib after listening religious sermon of Jasimuddin Rahmani, the spiritual leader of Ansarullah Bangla Team.
The court also issued an arrest warrant against fugitive Rana of Daganbhuiyan upazila in Feni and ordered to confiscate all his movable properties.
