Missing BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed's wife today urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to take necessary steps for getting back her husband.

Hasina Ahmed also called upon the countrymen to help trace the whereabouts of the BNP leader.

“I will make a formal appeal to the prime minister immediately to get back my husband,” she said while speaking to journalists at her Gulshan-2 residence this afternoon.

She came up with the urge after a four-member delegation of pro-BNP University Teachers Association of Bangladesh met her around 3:45pm to express their sympathy.

“Please get my husband back to my family as our son and daughter are waiting for his immediate return,” she said.

“We are not getting adequate cooperation from the law enforcement agencies in this regard,” she alleged.

Prof AFM Yusuf Haidar led the four-member team.

Salahuddin's family alleged some plainclothes men showed identity cards of the Detective Branch of police and picked up the BNP joint secretary general from a house in the capital's Uttara on the night of March 10.
