5 burnt in Feni firebomb attack

Five people suffered burns as miscreants hurled firebombs at a truck in Dagonbhuiyan upazila of Feni early today.

The victims, whose identities could not be known immediately, were admitted to Feni Sadar Hospital, reports our Feni correspondent.

Some unidentified people hurled petrol bombs at the truck in Matubhuiyan area around 5:00am, leaving five people boarded in the vehicle injured, said Abdul Faisal, officer-in-charge of Dagonbhuiyan Police Station.

The fish-laden truck was heading for Noakhali from Comilla, he added.

The incident took place an hour before the expiry of the BNP-led 20-party alliance sponsored countrywide hartal.
