Police arrested six BNP activists in different areas of the district on Tuesday night. The arrestees are Ujir Ali, 50, Shahiduzzaman, 48, Obaidur Rahman, 45, Motaleb Shikder, 40, Hafizur Rahman, 35, and Abdul Jalil, 40. Assistant Superintendent of Police Sudarshan Kumar Ray said the six were arrested on charge of planning subversive activities on the 79th day of the countrywide indefinite blockade, enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
