Blockade on, demo new element in 20-party programme
Shortly after announcing fresh agitation programmes for tomorrow, the BNP-led opposition alliance today realised that it had forgot to include blockade. So, it revised the programme and sent out fresh news release.
Twenty-six minutes after sending the first press release, the combine issued the other one at 4:24pm on the revise agitation programme.
The release carries the signature of BNP joint secretary general Barkat Ullah Bulu.
As per the fresh programmes, the 20-party alliance will hold countrywide agitation processions tomorrow alongside the ongoing blockade, demanding what it said “safe return of the party’s missing leaders including joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed”.
The alliance will also bring out protest processions at all divisional, district, upazila and municipality headquarters tomorrow to press home their demands, according to the release.
The agitation is also aimed at protesting what the combine said “the wholesale arrests and killings of the party leaders and activists”, according to the press release.
