Chanchal Khan's latest album “Prangone Mor” released
Tagore singer Chanchal Khan's latest album “Prangone Mor” is now in audio market. G-Series has produced the album, marketed by Geetanjoli.
The album, dedicated to Chanchal's friend late Khaled Khan, features 10 songs including, “O Amar Desh-er Mati”, “Prangone Mor”, “Sedin Dujone”, “Tumi Khushi Thako”, “Bhora Thak Smriti Shudhaye” and “Jete Dao” from Tagore's Swadesh, Bichitra, Prem, Pooja and Prokriti parjaye. The album starts with the track “Ami O Rabindranath” where the artiste expresses his personal feelings with the bard and his songs.
Chanchal Khan has been singing, researching and teaching Tagore songs over the last three decades. Largely a self-trained singer, Chanchal received formal lessons at Chhayanaut. During his occasional visits to Dhaka, he took lessons from his friend and mentor of many years, Sadi Mohammad. He has also had occasional lessons from Debabrata Biswas in Kolkata. Chanchal is one of the founding members of Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad, and an Executive Committee member of Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha. He has three other solo albums to his credit.
