Suchitra Sen's 84th birth anniversary observed in Pabna

Legendary film actress Suchitra Sen's 84th birth anniversary was observed in Pabna amidst festivity on April 6.

Suchitra Sen Smrity Shangrakhhan Parishad organised a discussion and cultural programme at the Pabna Press Club auditorium on Sunday.

Suchitra Sen enriched Bangla cinema with her outstanding acting prowess during her lifetime, and even after her death, she is inspiring generations, speakers said at the programme.

Suchitra was born on April 6, 1931 at her grandfather's home at Vangabari of Belkuchi upazila under the then greater Pabna (now Sirajganj), but her first home was in Pabna's Gopalpur, her father Karunamoy Dasgupta's house.
