5 more return home from Yemen

Five more Bangladeshi nationals came back home today after being evacuated from war-torn Yemen.

They landed at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Indian Jet Airways at 12:15pm, a foreign ministry press release said.

Goutam Kumar Dey, assistant secretary to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received them at the airport, the press release said.

This is the third batch of stranded Bangladeshis who came back to the country after evacuation. Twenty-one were brought home earlier.

A large batch of 337 Bangladeshis are on their way from Djibouti to India via the sea route after evacuation from Yemen. They will reach India by April 18.
