Nasir’s fielding boost
Nasir Hossain made a tough catch look ridiculously easy when he acrobatically held on to a skier from Pakistani opener Sarfraz Ahmed during the first game of the three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Mirpur on Friday.
Sarfraz smacked Arafat Sunny's delivery to the square-leg boundary patrolled by none other than Nasir Hossain.
Nasir adjusted himself with the flight of the ball, moved to his left and safely held on to the catch even after tumbling down on the field.
As one of the finest and fittest players of Bangladesh, Nasir again proved his worth with this brilliant catch and demonstrated his acrobatic skills at the match.
The 23-year-old right-hand lower-middle-order batsman can bat in different gears depending on the match situation. As an offspinner, he has control and accuracy. But his fielding is perhaps the most exciting part of his game.
Three years into his debut in first class cricket, Nasir played his first international ODI against Zimbabwe at Harare on August 14, 2011. He scored 63 runs off 92 balls in the match.
