360Fly, a company that makes immersive cameras that shoot in all directions, released a look from inside the cockpit of an F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet launching off the deck of the USS Harry S. Truman on February 11. The Navy then shared the video on Facebook last week, where it's racked up more than 1.5 million views.

Launching off a carrier is a bit different than taking off from land. Since a carrier deck has a much shorter runway, the Navy uses steam-powered catapults that can take a plane from 0 to 165 mph in less than two seconds.

You can see how it looks in the video below, which can also be viewed in the 360FlyApp with Google Cardboard virtual reality.

After hitting play, you can click and drag to move around to look at others on the carrier, or even down at the pilot's controls.
