Nur Hossain’s arms case: Deposition deferred as witnesses skip court
A Narayanganj court today deferred the recording of witness accounts in three arms cases filed against main accused of Narayanganj seven-murder incident Nur Hossain.
The court fixed April 13 for the deposition of witnesses.
The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (Court-2) Kamrun Nahar later ordered authorities to send Nur Hossain to jail.
Nur is accused of a total of 11 cases including the arms cases. He is the prime accused in the sensational Narayanganj seven murder cases.
Of the two seven-murder cases, one was filed by Selina Islam, wife of Nazrul Islam, one of the seven victims.
Nazrul Islam, the panel mayor of Narayanganj city, his four associates and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver -- were kidnapped separately, but around the same time from the Dhaka-Narayanganj link road on April 27, 2014.
Six bodies were found in the Shitalakkhya river three days later and another the next day.

Nur and his five associates have been absconding following the abduction and killing of the seven people.
Later he was brought back from India.
