Hanif Sanket meets Kailash Satyarthi
Renowned children's rights and education advocate and activist, Nobel Peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi recently met with popular television host Hanif Sanket at the Rabindra Bharati University.
In 1980, Kailash founded Bachpan Bachao Andolon (Save the Childhood Movement) and with that movement, he was able to protect the rights of about 83000 children from 144 countries that earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
Sanket and Satyarthi discussed and shared opinions about how to make people more aware about children's rights, how to instill more human values to them and how to involve rich people of the society in such works.
Kailash highly praised Hanif Sanket for his silent contribution in nation building through his hugely popular programme 'Ittyadi' for more than three decades.
Hanif Sanket said, “I feel those who inflict torture to minors are not human. They are worse than animals. To protect and promote children's rights in our country we also need similar movement that Kailash did in the form of 'Bachpan Bachao Andolon.'
