Fakhrul criticises PM’s comment on Khaleda, Tarique
BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today criticised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s comments on Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.
“Her (Sheikh Hasina) comments are clearly beyond political decency, far from truth,” Fakhrul said while speaking at a programme arranged in Dhaka on the occasion of Women’s Day.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday said BNP elected “two accused” in its highest posts and termed the re-election of Khaleda and Tarique, ahead of BNP’s council, “a drama”.
“Last year, Bangladesh broke all previous records of torture on women and children,” Fakhrul said. “These incidents have caused a great deal of concern and fear among the general public.”
Claiming there is absence of democratic space and government in the country, Fakhrul hoped that the women will work united in the movement to restore democracy.
He was speaking at a procession organised by Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal. The procession began from near the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office and ended there after marching through Nightingle square.
