The sitting Buddha, a 30-foot tall concrete statue inclusive of the pedestal height of four feet, was unveiled on the premises of Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University last evening, ahead of Buddha Purnima on Sunday. It was designed by artist Mong Khi Mong Rakhaine and financed by Swapan Barua Chowdhury, general secretary of Bangladesh Buddhist Association.
