Experience summer with Nil's Atelier

HAVE you ever wandered into a boutique and felt completely lost? First of all, all the designs look almost the same and have been adapted from Indian-Pakistani TV shows. Secondly, the fabrics have little to no variation, with quality not reflecting the price at all. Finally, there is rarely any outfit that you can easily wear at work and not look like a gaudy stuffy princess!

Say hello to Nil's Atelier, a boutique full of for sensual, chic and graceful outfits, perfect for women's work wear as well as for casual and formal gatherings. 

Yasmin Rahman, fashion designer and owner of the boutique, believes that Bangladeshi women want to be portrayed in a sophisticated manner, with a sense of fashion that is unique to our culture but at the same time reflects contemporary trends. Moreover, she feels that there is a growing demand for a clothing line that particularly caters to the needs of working women who want to wear an outfit that is comfortable but at the same time trendsetting. Nil's Atelier is here to guide you so that you look your best at work!

The boutique began its journey in 2012, and since then it has had a growing number of loyal customers. The one-piece kameez suits, long shirts and figure flattering tops have found a special spot in the hearts of the boutique's wide range of customers. 

Its summer collection primarily consists of airy and lightweight cottons and linens. The fabrics are all sourced locally, with much focus on fusing traditional and modern designs. Local tailors, weavers and printers are trained by the designer such that they are able to utilise their skills effectively with the knowledge about current fashion trends.

Yasmin Rahman loves to collect fabrics and accessories such as buttons, beads, laces and scarves from her travels. She integrates her findings from her travels in her designs. She uses techniques such as screen printing, zardosi, machine and hand embroideries and appliqué in her work. She also does a lot of hand painting mixed with sequins and embroideries. Geometric patterns, cuts and prints are quite popular in her designs too.

Outfits by Nil's Atelier are meant to make you stand out and feel confident. The prices for tops range from Tk 1500-3000. The one-piece kameez suits are priced from Tk 3000-15,000. There are saris for bridal, formal and casual wear that range from Tk 20,000-30,000.
