Channel i celebrated the “AB Bank-Channel i Rabindra Mela '15” at its premises yesterday, through various programmes. Cultural and corporate personalities flew balloons to inaugurate the fair that has been a regular event. Thespian Ataur Rahman was handed lifetime achievement award at the programme. 

Eminent Tagore artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya's new album “Bhora Thak Smritishudhaye” was also launched at the fair. The album has been released from Impress Audio Vision Limited.

Senior and promising artistes and troupes alike performed Tagore songs and dances on stage, including solo songs by Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya, Lily Islam, Sadi Mohammad, Salma Akbar and Sajed Akbar and Fahim Hossain Chowdhury. Surer Dhara performed choral songs, members of Bhorer Pakhi Nrityakala, Nataraj and Taraye Taraye Dipshikha did group dances, while Syed Hasan Imam and Afroza Banu recited. 

Noted painter Abdul Mannan, along with children and young painters, painted Rabindranath, while the fair also featured Tagore's favourite delicacies. Channel i aired the programme live.
