Azad products award Ratnagarva Mothers

On International Mother's Day, Azad Products in line with previous years, honoured mothers of accomplished personalities with “Ratnagarva Ma Awards”.

A total of 36 Ratnagarva Ma (mothers of outstanding personalities) – 25 in the regular category and 11 special category -- received awards at the ceremony held at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on May 10. Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal handed over the awards to the mothers.

Noted singers Fahmida Nabi, Samina Chowdhury and Ridwan Chowdhury attended the event along with their mother Begum Rashida Chowdhury who received Ratnagarva Ma award.

Expressing her feelings after the event, Fahmida Nabi said, “Our mother nurtured us, allowing us freedom and we are ever indebted to her. I cannot express in words how grateful we are to her.” 

Among others, distinguished guests, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, educationalist Rafiquddin Ahmed, former principal of Viqarunnesa Noon School and College, Hamida Ali and singer Ferdous Wahid also attended the event.
