The Bangladesh embassy in Bahrain, with support from the Wage Earners' Welfare Board, has launched a legal support service for the Bangladeshi expatriates in the Gulf country.

The mission informed this in a Facebook post today.

Under the initiative, seasoned lawyers appointed by the mission will provide advises related to legal issues to Bangladeshi expatriates free of cost. The services will be available from 11:00am to 2:00pm (local time) on Tuesdays on the mission premises, reads the Facebook post.

Inaugurating the service at a ceremony at the mission hall room, Bangladesh Ambassador to Bahrain Nazrul Islam said the initiative has been taken to ensure better legal service for the expatriates.

"The scope of the service will be expanded in future based on response," he said.

The mission officials will also continue providing the current legal support services on workdays along with the new service, said the ambassador.

Mission officials and Bangladeshi expatriates in Bahrain, among others, attended the ceremony.
