Biman to resume flights on Dhaka-Kolkata route from Sept 5
Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume flight operations on Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka route from September 5 under the air bubble agreement with India.
Talking to The Daily Star, Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, managing director and CEO of the national flag carrier said they will operate two flights per week on the Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka route and two flights per week on the Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka route.
On September 2, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (Caab) accepted the proposal of India's Ministry of Civil Aviation on resumption of air bubble flights between the two countries from September 4.
Caab issued a circular on September 2 in this regard clearing the way for resuming flights between the two countries four months after it was suspended amid rising Covid-19 infections.
