Mandatory Institutional quarantine in Benapole for Bangladeshis returning from India withdrawn

Bangladeshi travellers returning from India are no longer subject to mandatory 14-day institutional quarantine, according to the Health Department in Benapole.

For all Bangladeshi returnees, however, 14-day home quarantine is required.

People willing to travel to India will no longer require a permit from the Home Ministry. They can now travel by presenting a Covid-negative RT-PCR test certificate obtained within 72 hours of their departure, reports our correspondent quoting Benapole Health Department.

Yusuf Ali, Sharsha upazila health officer, and Mir Alif Reza, president of Sharsha upazila Coronavirus Prevention Committee and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, have both confirmed that the orders and instructions are taking effect from this morning.
