Young Bangladeshi couple in London helps Shashi Tharoor, gets shout-out

Indian lawmaker Shashi Tharoor has thanked a young Bangladeshi couple for helping him grab a cab from outside the British Library in London that ended his 45-minute wait.

"Waited 45 minutes outside @britishlibrary for a cab as Saturday-night traffic whizzed by. A helpful young Bangladeshi couple, out celebrating their first wedding anniversary, stopped by for a pic & solved my problem by summoning an @Uber. Thanks Irfat & Azmain!" tweeted Shashi Tharoor.

The couple was out celebrating their first wedding anniversary when they noticed Tharoor outside the British Library, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

After a number of cabs "whizzed" past the Indian MP, the Bangladeshi couple stopped by and booked an Uber for Tharoor.

Tharoor posted a photo with the couple on Twitter and thanked them for their help.
