Ctg Samiti donates Bangladesh School in Oman
Chittagong Samiti Oman has donated Tk 22 lakh for the ground development of Bangladesh School, the major educational institute for Bangladeshi expatriates in Oman.
The development works of the school ground situated at Muscat in Oman is in progress, according to a press release of Chittagong Samiti Oman.
Mohammed Yaseen Chowdhury, president of Chittagong Samiti Oman, handed over the third cheque to the Principal of the school Major (Retd) Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed on Sunday (April 22), the release said.
Head of News of Bangla Vision Mostofa Feroz Dipu addressed the function as the chief guest while First Secretary of Bangladesh High Commission in Oman Abu Sayed, Senior Journalist Ezaz Mahmud, President of Oman-Bangladesh Reporters Forum Mahabub Chowdhury and member of managing committee of the school Engineer Ashraf Rahman were present as special guests.
Among others, Senior Vice President of Chittagong Samiti Oman Nurul Amin Chowdhury, Vice Presidents Sayed Jahangir Alam and Nurul Islam, General Secretary Engineer Tapas Biswas, Senior Joint Secretary Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Joint Secretary Mohammed Rafiq, Organising Secretary Mohiuddin Babu, IT secretary Emdad Bachchu, EC members Kazi Rashed, Nasir Uddin and Abdul Karim were also present at the programme.
Speakers at the function said, Bangladesh School started its activities 25 years ago. But, the ground was not useable after its establishment. Meanwhile, Chittagong Samiti Oman extended hands of cooperation to make the ground useable.
The project will end in June this year, they hoped.
Addressing the function, Mostofa Feroz said, Bangladesh School is contributing for the academic activities of Bangladeshi students which is very important in abroad. The school is not only contributing for education, but also upholding the prestige of Bangladesh in Arab world.”
He mentioned that the assistance of Chittagong Samiti Oman for the ground of the school is an example for all. He called upon all capable people to contribute for the school.
