18 held in Dhaka, firebombs seized in Ctg
At least 18 activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami were detained from Dhaka for their involvement in subversive activities in 24 hours until this morning.
Among them, 15 were BNP men and three of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Dhaka Metropolitan Police said in a message issued for the media.
In a separate incident, five firebombs (petrol bombs) and seven crude bombs were seized from Chittagong city's Kodalkata area early today.
A team of Rab-7 made the haul around 2:00am tipped off on intelligence that a group was gathering there to carry out subversive activities, our Chittagong correspondent reports quoting ASP Sohel Mahmaud, assistant director of the Rab unit.
